HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 4413 RESOLUTION NO. 4413 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY RELATIVE TO THE DESTRUCTION OF RECORDS NO LONGER NEEDED WHEREAS, Section 34090 34090.5 and 34090.7 of the Government Code of the State of California sets forth certain proceedings for the destruction of certain City records; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Downey has adopted Resolution #1932 establishing a policy relative to said destruction; and WHEREAS, it is to the best interest of all concerned that certain obsolete documents, records and papers of the City of Downey be destroyed. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The following list of documents, records and papers shall be destroyed according to the indicated condition: 1. Time Cards, Payroll Reports, Must be at least 5 years old and not Deductions, Labor Distribution within 3 years of the termination of a Federal Grant 2. Cancelled Checks Must be at least 5 years old 3. Revenue Receipts (Rec. Classes, Must be at least 5 years old Bus. Lic., Dog Lic., Golf Course, Building and other related permits, State Subvention Receipts, etc. 4. Purchase Requisitions Must be at least 7 years old 5. Purchase Orders Must be at least 7 years old 6. Voucher Registers Must be at least 7 years old SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
