RESOLUTION NO. 4350
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY
ESTABLISHING THE COMPENSATION PAYABLE TO CLASSIFICATIONS
WITHIN THE EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT SERVICE.
WHERAS, the City Council has given careful consideration to the
Management Performance /Compensation Plan as recommended by the City Manager.
r-- NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Executive Management salary schedule is amended as
follows:
CLASSIFICATION MONTHLY RANGE
Chief of Police $4,067 - $4,940
Director of Administrative Services 3,523 - 4,283
Director of Community Development 3,665 - 4,462
Director of Community Services 2,844 - 3,470
Director of Public Works 3,694 - 4,490
Fire Chief 3,547 - 4,312
SECTION 2. All benefits currently or hereinafter provided to classifi-
cations within the corresponding recognized bargaining units in the classified
service are approved for Executive Management personnel unless otherwise
specified. Executive Management employees are specifically excluded from
education incentive pay and overtime compensation. Employees who are
appointed or promoted into the Executive Management service of the City after
December 31, 1983, shall not be eligible to receive the Longevity Pay
differentials provided to classified personnel.
SECTION 3. All other fringe benefits provided for Executive Management
employees shall remain as approved in prior years with no changes.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution and provide for the distribution thereof.
