A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DOWNEY DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A, PORTION
OF PANGBORN AVENUE SOUTHERLY OF FIRESTONE BOULEVARD
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Downey, upon
recommendation of the Planning Commission, declares its intention to
vacate that portion of Pangborn Avenue as shown on the attached copy
of the map on file in the office of the City Clerk to which reference
is made for further particulars.
SECTION 2. The public right-of-way being vacated is described
as that portion of Pangborn Avenue, 55 feet wide, lying southwesterly
of the southwesterly line of Firestone Boulevard, 106.00 feet wide,
and northeasterly of the northwesterly prolongation of the southwesterly
line of Lot 9 of Tract No. 9776 in the City of Downey, County of Los
Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 138, Pages
43 and 44 of Maps, in the Office of the County Recorder of said County.
Reserving unto the Los Angeles County Sanitation District an easement
for sewer purposes 10.00 feet wide lying 5.00 feet on either side of
the centerline of said Pangborn Avenue.
SECTION 3. The hour of 7:30 p.m. on the 12th day of July, 1983,
is hereby fixed as the time, and the Council Chambers in the City
Hall at 8426 Third Street, Downey, California, is fixed as the place
for hearing all persons interested in the proposed vacation of said
street.
SECTION 4. Notices of the proposed vacation shall be posted and
published in the manner prescribed by Section 8322 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution.
