HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 4098 i RESOLUTION NO. 4098 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF THE SOUTH SIDE OF IMPERIAL HIGHWAY BETWEEN CUL -DE -SAC EASTERLY OF BROOKSHIRE AVENUE TO A LINE THAT IS PARALLEL WITH AND 15 FEET EASTERLY OF BROOKSHIRE AVENUE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council'of the City of Downey, upon recommendation of the Planning Commission, declares its intention to vacate that portion of Imperial Highway as shown on the attached copy of the map on file in the office of the City Clerk to which reference is made for further particulars. The public right -of -way being vacated is described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof. SECTION 2. The hour of 7:30 p.m. on the 8th day of June, 1982, is hereby fixed as the time, and the Council Chambers in the City Hall at 8426 Third Street, Downey, California, is fixed as the place for hearing all persons interested in the proposed vacation of said street. SECTION 3. Notices of the proposed vacation shall be posted and published in the manner prescribed by Section 8322 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. SECTION 4. Swearingen, 'ayor ATTEST: 7 c-- i 1 .2/ ..,/,/ ,./// /146A:5,, / a City Clerk I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Downey at a regular meeting thereof held the llth day of May , 1982, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: 4 Council Members: Cormack, Jackman, Mackaig, Swearingen NOES: 0 Council Members: None ABSENT: 1 Council Members: Quinn (---' f:k1///71 City Clerk APPROVED: % / ' " / L z c// ~- City Attorney ' Date/ i RESOLUTION NO. 4098 EXHIBIT "A" That portion of Imperial Highway 142 feet wide adjacent to Lot 1 of Tract 15707 in the City of Downey, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 350, Page 32 of Maps in the Office of the County Recorder of said County described as follows: Beginning at the most northerly corner of said Lot 1; thence South 56° 33'55" East 15.00 feet; thence South 32 °14'00" West 40.00 feet to the true point of beginning; thence South 56 °33'55" East 14.84 feet to a point of tangency with a curve concave southwesterly having a radius of 30 feet; thence southeasterly thereon through a central angle of 32 °12'15" an arc distance of 16.86 feet to a point of cusp with a curve concave southeasterly having a radius of 35 feet; thence northerly thereon through a central angle of 83 °09'53" an arc distance of 50.77 feet; thence North 56 °33'55" West 8.16 feet to a point of tangency with a curve southwesterly having a radius of 25.00 feet; thence northwesterly thereon through a central angle of 24 °47'25" an arc distance of 10.82 feet to a line bearing South 32 °14'00" West that passes through the true point of beginning; thence South 32 °14'00" West 37.70 feet thereon to the true point of beginning.
