WITHIN THOSE AREAS UNTIL JANUARY 31, 1983. (ANNEXATION 81/1)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Downey on December 9, 1980, adopted
Resolution No. 3901 declaring its intention to order certain improvements; and
WHEREAS, on December 9, 1980, the City Council by Resolution No 3901 set Tuesday,
January 13, 1981, at 7:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall at 8426 Third
Street, as the time and place for hearing protests to the proposed improvements; and
WHEREAS, on January 13, 1981, at the time and place specified, a public hearing
was held in accordance with Resolution No, 3901, notice having been given in the manner
required by law; and
WHEREAS, at the hearing, the City Council did pass upon all written and oral

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The boundaries of that area to be annexed to Lighting Maintenance
District AD 121 are described on Plan No. SL -215 and boundary description on file in
the office of the City Clerk and by this reference made a part hereof.
SECTION 2. The improvements consist of the installation of street lighting
standards and furnishing of maintenance and energy for those street lights described
in the report of the City Traffic Engineer dated December 9, 1980, as approved by the
City Council.
SECTION 3. The entire estimated cost of the improvements shall be borne by the
District and shall be paid by special assessment charges against all the lands and
improvements within said area for the period beginning July 1, 1981, and ending
January 31, 1983.
SECTION 4. The improvements described in Resolution No. 3899 and the report of
