HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 3797 RESOLUTION NO. 3797 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY APPROVING PROGRAM SUPPLEMENT NO. 5 TO THE CITY OF DOWNEY/ STATE AGREEMENT NO. 07 -5334 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF STREET IMPROVEMENTS PURSUANT TO THE FEDERAL AID FOR URBAN SYSTEMS ACT, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Downey has adopted Resolution No. 3449, approving Agreement No. 07 -5334 with the State of California, which covers Federal Aid Projects within the City; and WHEREAS, on January 22, 1980, the City Council approved the plans and specifications and authorized the advertising of bids for the upgrading of the traffic signal system at Stewart and Gray Road and Old River School Road (S.S. 323, Unit 1); and WHEREAS, Program Supplement No. 5 provides for the use of State Highway Matching Funds thereby reducing local matching funds required for this project by $4,285.00. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Downey does hereby approve Program Supplement No. 5 to the City of Downey /State Agreement No. 07 -5334 for the upgrading of the traffic signal system at Stewart and Gray Road and Old River School Road (S.S. 323, Unit 1). SECTION 2. The Mayor of the City of Downey is hereby directed and authorized to execute said Program Supplement No. 5 on behalf of the City of Downey. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall forward one certified copy to the Department of Community Development for transmittal to Caltrans.
