HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 3742 RESOLUTION NO. 3742 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION FOR ELECTION OFFICERS AND POLLING PLACES IN THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY WHEREAS, under the provisions of the Charter of the City of Downey, a regular general municipal election shall be held on the 8th day of April, 1980, for the election of three members of the City Council of said City for the full term of four years; and WHEREAS, under Section 1653 of the California Elections Code, each member of a precinct board shall receive compensation for services. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the compensation of the persons named as members of precinct boards in the City of Downey is hereby fixed at the sum of $29 for each Inspector and $24 for each Judge and Clerk. SECTION 2. That the compensation for use of a structure as a polling place on election day shall be $20. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original Resolutions of said City; and shall make a Minute of the passage and adop- tion thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City, in the Minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted. SECTION 4. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of November, 1979.
