A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF DOWNEY RELATIVE TO THE DESTRUCTION OF RECORDS
NO LONGER NEEDED
WHEREAS, Section 34090, 34090.5 and 34090.7 of the Government Code of the
State of California sets forth certain proceedings for the destruction of
City records; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Downey has adopted Resolution
Number 1932 establishing a policy relative to said destruction; and
WHEREAS, it is to the best interest of all concerned that certain
obsolete documents, records and papers of the City of Downey be destroyed.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The following list of obsolete documents, records and
papers shall be destroyed:
1. Improvement Account Check Book Stubs /B of A 1959 -1967
2. Duplicate Deposit Receipts /B of A (Improvement Fund) 1960 -1961
3. Bank Statement of Account / B of A & cancelled checks Improvement
Fund 1958 -1966
4. Duplicate Receipts of Street Improvement Bonds 1964 -1967
5. Refundable Deposit Account Receipts /Bank of Downey 1962 -1967
6. Letters of Authorization to re- invest City Funds 1964 -1966
7. Requisitions (Departmental copies) 1960 -1967
8. Deposit Slips (Security First National Bank) General Account 1966 -1968
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of February , 1977.
