HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 3301 RESOLUTION NO. 3301 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF STEWART & GRAY ROAD AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF STEWART & GRAY AND RIVES AVENUE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Downey upon recommendation of the Planning Commission hereby declares its intention to vacate that portion of Stewart & Gray Road at the northeast corner of the intersection of Rives Avenue and Stewart & Gray Road, as shown on the attached map on file in the office of the City Clerk to which reference is made for further particulars, this area to be vacated being described as follows: Beginning at the most northerly corner of Lot 2 in the City of Downey, County of Los Angeles, State of California as recorded in Book 185, Page 46 of Maps in the official records in the Office of the County Recorder of said County; thence South 31 52' West, 163.11 feet to the true point of beginning; thence continuing South 31 52' West, 1.97 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave northeasterly having a radius of 15- feet; thence southeasterly along said curve an arc distance of 23.62 feet through a central angle of 90 12' 40" to a point in the northerly line of Stewart & Gray Road 80 feet wide, as shown on map of said Tract 10789; thence South 58 20' 40" East, along said northerly line of Stewart & Gray Road 1.97 feet; thence North 13 14' 20" West, 24.04 feet to the true point of beginning. The easement for drainage pipe and appurtenances in and under said land is reserved to the City of Downey. SECTION 2. The hour of 7:30 p.m. on the 13th day of July, 1976, is hereby fixed as the time, and the Council Chambers in the City Hall at 8425 Second Street, Downey, California, is hereby fixed as the place for hearing all persons interested in objecting to the proposed vacation of said street. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall cause this resolution to be published in the manner required by Section 8322 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. SECTION 4. Notices of the proposed vacation shall be posted in the manner prescribed by said Section 8322. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
