A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY or' DUWALY rhUU1A1V1LAU THE
MONTH OF MAY, 1976, AS PROPERTY
IHPROVEMENT AND BEAUTIFICATION MONTH

WHEREAS, a clean, healthful and attractive environment
is of great importance for all citizens of the City of Downey; and
WHEREAS, one of the most important ingredients affecting
the quality of living in a community is citizen concern for
developing and maintaining property at the highest standard
possible; and
WHEREAS, the Citizens Health and Environmental Sanitation
Committee has initiatea a program to stimulate interest and
activity in a Property Improvement Recognition Program; and
WHEREAS, participation in such an effort will do much
to enhance our environment and stimulate pride in our City;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOViS:
SECTION 1. That the Month of May, 1976 shall be proclaimed
PROPERTY IMPROVENENT AND BEAUTIFICATION MONTH.
SECTION 2. That all citizens are hereby invited and
,—.. encouraged to participate in the Property Improvement Program
as one way of improving the quality of living in our community.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 27th day of April, 1976.
