HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 3219 RESOLUTION NO. 3219 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DETERMINING THAT LIQUIDATED DAMAGES SHALL BE PAID. (Assessment District 109) THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That in the event the contractor who is the successful bidder for doing the work described in Resolution of Intention No. 3218 as changed does not complete the work within the time limits specified in the contract or within such further time as the legislative body shall have authorized, the contractor shall pay to the City liquidated damages in the amount of $100.00 per day. SECTION 2. A provision providing for such liquidated damages shall be inserted in the specifications for the doing of such work. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of December 1975.
