HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 3150 RESOLUTION NO. 3150 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY ADOPTING SWORN POLICE ADJUSTMENTS EFFECTIVE JULY 14, 1975 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City of Downey Personnel Manual be amended as reflected in the attached Memorandum of Understanding effective July 14, 1975. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall provide for appropriate distribution thereof. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of July, 1975. Jo eph E. After fter meetin and conferring in good faith the Downey Police Officers Association and the City Manager agree as follows: .1. 9% salary increase effective the first pay period after July 1, 1975, which shall be in lieu of any re- opener under the Memorandum of Understanding expiring June 30, 1975, and, in addition, for increases for fiscal 1975 -76. If deemed legal this increase will apply to retirement as a form of deferred compensation. In the event this is not legal this will . - be a gross increase of salary. If within the next two • . years the State mandates that the cities pay the employee's share of retirement, then this salary increase will be converted to a gross increase. The - Downey Police Officers Association reserves the • right to re -apply this salary increase to gross income • rather than applying it to retirement after a on year period. Should the cost of living index (L. A. - Long • • Beach) exceed 8.50% during fiscal 1975 -76 this • • agreement may be re- opened for salary discussions. — • Should said index exceed 9.0% then said re- opener shall be 2.75%. . 2.
