HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2742 RESOLUTION NO. 2742 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY ADOPTING A PROFILE, AND IMPROVEMENT PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PROJECT 3150 LINE A, B AND C, AND PROJECT 3151 LINE A, B AND C, 1970 STORM DRAIN BOND ISSUE IN THE CITY OF DOWNEY, AND AUTHORIZING THE USE OF CITY STREETS FOR CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE. WHEREAS, Plans and Specifications have been checked and approved by the City Engineer and by the Los Angeles County Flood Control District for the con- struction of Storm Drain under the 1970 Storm Drain Bond Issue Projects No. 3150, Lines A, B and C, and 3151, Lines A, B and C, in the City of Downey. PROJECT 3150 LINE A - Beginning at Project 428 in Imperial Highway at Dunrobin Avenue; thence northerly in Dunrobin Avenue to Washburn Road, located in the City of Downey. LINE B - Beginning at Project 428 in Bellflower Boulevard at Foster Road; thence easterly in Foster Road to Eastbrook Avenue, located in the City of Downey. LINE C - Beginning at Project 1107 in Imperial Highway at Ardis Avenue; thence easterly in Imperial Highway to 950 feet east of Ardis Avenue, located in the City of Downey. PROJECT 3151 LINE A - Beginning at Project 18 in Firestone Boulevard at Wiley Burke Avenue; thence northerly in Wiley Burke Avenue to Quinn Street, located in the City of Downey. LINE B - Beginning at City of Downey Project C.C. 195 in Old River School Road at Stewart and Gray Road; thence easterly in Stewart and Gray Road to Rives Avenue, located in the City of Downey. LINE C - Beginning at Project 20 in Paramount Boulevard at Suva Street; thence north in Paramount Boulevard to 600 feet north of Gallatin Road, located in the City of Downey. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the improvement plans and specifications entitled "Specifications for the Construction of Downey Projects No. 3150 and 3151, 1970 Storm Drain Bond Issue in the City of Downey, California" prepared under the direction of the Director of Public Works in the City of Downey and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the City of Downey, be and the same are hereby approved and adopted for such work and improvement. SECTION 2. The Los Angeles County Flood Control District is authorized to proceed with the construction as described herein and permission is granted to occupy and use the public streets in the City of Downey during construction and to operate and maintain the storm drain installations upon completion. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and forward certified copies thereof to the Director of Public Works of the City of Downey for transmittal to the Los Angeles County Flood Control District. APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 13th day of November , 1972.
