HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2715 RESOLUTION NO. 2715 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF A COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE CALIFORNIA DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS PROVIDING FOR ALTERATIONS ON CITY STREETS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE PROPOSED RAMP METERING ON SANTA ANA FREEWAY. WHEREAS, the Division of Highways is proposing to add a peak hour traffic lane to the southbound Santa Ana Freeway between Route 605 Freeway and the southerly City limits in the vicinity of Cecilia Street, and concurrently with this project, ramp control is proposed to be installed on the southbound on -ramps to the Santa Ana Freeway. WHEREAS, certain alterations such as striping, signing, signal adjustments, and minor construction may be necessary on City streets, the expense of which is to be borne by the State, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY RESOLVES THAT: SECTION 1. The Cooperative Agreement No. 2844, with the California Division of Highways is hereby approved and the Mayor is authorized to sign the Agreement. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and forward it to the Public Works Department for transmission to the Division of Highways.
