A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY
COMMENDING THE "HELPLINE YOUTH COUNSELING CENTER"
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Downey has been informed that
the "Helpline Youth Counseling Center" has initiated a program designed to
cope with certain youth problems; and
WHEREAS, it is understood that the "Helpline Youth Counseling Center" is
programming itself to be available for service to youth, including youth from
the City of Downey; and
WHEREAS, the "Helpline Youth Counseling Center" has indicated that it is
operating such program primarily under the auspices of concerned citizens of
various cities on a volunteer basis; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Downey desires to commend the
"Helpline Youth Counseling Center" for its efforts and contribution to the
needs of our youth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
The City Council of the City of Downey does hereby adopt this Resolution
to commend the "Helpline Youth Counseling Center" for initiating a program
designed to meet some of the needs of our youth and further, the City Council
does hereby recommend that the program be reviewed favorably by the citizens
of Downey.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of Downey held on the 23rd day of
February, 1971, by the following vote, to wit:

ABSENT: 0 Councilmen: None
