HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2487 RESOLUTION NO. 2487 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY ORDERING THE VACATION OF CERTAIN WATER PIPELINE EASEMENT LYING SOUTHERLY OF LOT 298 AND A PORTION OF LOT 299 OF TRACT NO. 8960 COMMONLY KNOWN AS 7900 EIGHTH STREET WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Downey, has received and read the Report from the Director of Public Works as to the condition of the easement proposed to be vacated; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the easement hereinafter described will not be used for the purpose intended and is not necessary for present or prospective public use. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Downey does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Downey, pursuant to Section 7401 of the Downey Municipal Code, hereby orders the vacation of certain water pipeline easement as shown on Map on file in the Office of the City Clerk to which reference is made for further particulars. The easement to be vacated is described as follows: The southerly 5.00 feet of that portion of the north- easterly half of vacated alley lying southerly of Lot 298 and that portion lying southerly of the westerly 13.00 feet of Lot 299 of Tract No. 8960 in the City of Downey, County of Los Angeles, State of California as per map recorded in Book 169 page 3 of Maps, in the Office of the County Recorder of said County. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and cause a certified copy thereof, attested by the City Clerk under the Seal of the City of Downey, to be recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of the County of Los Angeles.
