A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY
ASCERTAINING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM
WAGES TO BE PAID UPON PUBLIC WORK WITHIN THE CITY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Sections 1773 and 1773.1 of the Labor Code of
the State of California, the City Council hereby does ascertain and declare
the general prevailing rate of per diem wages, the general prevailing rate
for holiday and overtime work, and the employer payments for health and
welfare, pension, vacation, and similar purposes for each craft, classification
or type of work needed in the execution of the contracts for public work in the
locality of the City of Downey to be set forth in the attached "Wage Scales for
the Six Basic Trades" (last revised October 28, 1969, and "Sub- Trades Hourly Wage
Rates" last revised January 27, 1970, and on file in the office of the City Clerk,)
of the Building and Construction Trades Unions and furnished by the Los Angeles
Building and Construction Trades Council, hereby are incorporated in and made
a part of this resolution. Resolution No. 2344 adopted January 27, 1970, is
hereby rescinded.
SECTION 2. The changes set forth herein shall be specified in the
first applicable call for bids made hereafter.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution and shall file a certified copy thereof with the Director of
Industrial Relations of the State of California, pursuant to Section 1773.3
of the Labor Code.
