HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2330 RESOLUTION NO. 2330 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY ORDERING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO MAKE A REPORT PURSUANT TO THE STREET LIGHTING ACT OF 1919 (ANNEXATION 70/2) THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 18040 cf the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, the City Council hereby orders the Director of Public Works to make and file with the City Clerk a report in writing as contemplated by said Street Lighting Act of 1919, for the improvement of street lighting along Stanbridge and Rutgers Avenues between Foster Road and Adoree Street. The area of this proposed improvement is shown on Plan No. SL -51 with its boundary described by a legal description on file in the office of the City Clerk. Thealternative procedure for levying and collecting assessments on ad valorem basis, as provided by Chapter 8.5 of Part I of Division 14 of the Streets and Highways Code, shall be followed, as set forth in said Chapter 8.5. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 23rd Day of December, 1969.
