A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DOWNEY ORDERING THE EXTENSION OF THE DOWNEY COUNTY
LIGHTING DISTRICT
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the City Council of the City of Downey,
the public interest and convenience requires that the existing street lighting
system known as the Downey County Lighting District be maintained as it
presently exists including the provision of electric energy, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Downey determines and declares
the district benefitted by such lighting system or systems to be identical to
those presently benefitted,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Under Sections 18030 and 18031 of the Street Lighting Act
of 1919, the Downey County Lighting District is hereby extended under the
present organization of said district, including the exterior boundaries
thereof and the assessments of costs and expenses of such continuing maintenance
upon the lands in the district until June 30, 1971.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution
and thenceforth the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of December, 1969.
