HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2274 RESOLUTION NO. 2274 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY PROHIBITING STOPPING AT THE CURB ON FIRESTONE BOULEVARD BETWEEN BROOKSHIRE AVENUE AND WOODRUFF AVENUE AT CERTAIN TIMES THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Pursuant to the authority of Section 22507 of the California Vehicle Code, STOPPING is hereby prohibited at all times on both sides of Firestone Boulevard between Nash Avenue and about 325 feet east of Lakewood Boulevard; from 6 A.M. to 9 A.M. on the north side of Firestone Boulevard between about 350 feet east of Brookshire Avenue and Nash Avenue and from about 325 feet east of Lakewood Boulevard to Woodruff Avenue; from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. on the south side of Firestone Boulevard between about 100 feet east of Brookshire Avenue and Nash Avenue; from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M. on the south side of Firestone Boulevard between about 325 feet east of Lakewood Boulevard and Woodruff Avenue. Further, parking is hereby limited to 2 hours from 9 A.M. to 6 P.M. on the north side of Firestone Boulevard between about 350 feet east of Brookshire Avenue and Nash Avenue and from 8 A.M. to 4 P.M. on the south side of Firestone Boulevard between about 100 feet east of Brookshire Avenue and Nash Avenue. SECTION 2. Previous time limit parking restrictions in the affected area are hereby rescinded. SECTION 3. The Department of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to install all necessary and appropriate signs and markings to accomplish such prohibition. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 26th day of August , 1969.
