HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2268 RESOLUTION NO. 2268 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY ORDERING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO MAKE A REPORT PURSUANT TO THE STREET LIGHTING ACT OF 1919 (ANNEXATION G - AREAS 4 THROUGH 13 -- ZONES I AND III) THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 18040 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, the City Council hereby orders the Director of Public Works of the City of Downey to make and file with the City Clerk a report in writing as contemplated by said Street Lighting Act of 1919, for the improvement of street lighting in the areas shown on Plan Nos. 36, 37, 44, 45, 50, 51, 56, 93, 97 and 98, and further described in detail in the Report of the Director of Public Works dated August 5, 1969. The alternative procedure for levying and collecting assessments on ad valorem basis, as provided by Chapter 8.5 of Part I of Division 14 of the Streets and Highways Code, shall be followed, as set forth in said Chapter 8.5. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
