A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF DOWNEY ADOPTING ALIGNMENT OF
STEWART AND GRAY ROAD BETWEEN WOODRUFF
AVENUE AND FIRESTONE BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Downey has determined
that the extension of Stewart and Gray Road, between Woodruff Avenue
and Firestone Boulevard, is necessary to provide a safer and a more
economical route for the flow of traffic through the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer did survey said extension of
Stewart and Gray Road, and has prepared a map showing the proposed
alignment thereof; and
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Planning Commission
held June 4, 1969, the Planning Commission did recommend approval of the
alignment of Stewart and Gray Road between Woodruff Avenue and Firestone
Boulevard as shown on said City Engineer's Map; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Downey has reviewed
the City Engineer's Map showing the proposed alignment of Stewart and
Gray Road, between Woodruff Avenue and Firestone Boulevard.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Engineer's Map of Stewart and Gray
Road, between Woodruff Avenue and Firestone Boulevard, is hereby approved
and adopted for the purpose of establishing alignment for the acquisition
of right -of -way.
SECTION 2. That Resolution No. 1980 adopted September 26, 1967
by the City Council of the City of Downey is hereby rescinded.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of Downey at a regular meeting
held thereof on the 14th day of July, 1969, by the following vote, to wit:
