A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY
REQUESTING REIMBURSEMENT OF ONE -HALF OF ITS COST TO
INSTALL RAILROAD CROSSING GATES ON PARAMOUNT BOULEVARD
AT CROSSING NUMBER BK -494.8 (SS #171)
WHEREAS, on September 19, 1968, the City of Downey and the Southern
Pacific Company executed a mutual agreement to install railroad crossing
gates on Paramount Boulevard at crossing number BK- 494.8; and
WHEREAS, the Southern Pacific Company has submitted an eight -point
cost breakdown which established the City of Downey one -half share at
$9,975; and
WHEREAS, the Public Utilities Commission sanctions this safety improve-
ment, and has appropriated an amount for reimbursement not to exceed
one - fourth of the total cost as established by the aforementioned cost
breakdown;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That said reimbursement be requested in conformance with
proper Public Utilities procedure.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution.

Council of the City of Downey at a regular meeting held thereof on the 25th
day of March, 1969, by the following vote:
