The City Council of the City of Downey does hereby oppose AB 238 and any proposal to consolidate the existing judicial districts into a smaller number on the basis that it represents a de- parture from the home rule principle and will not, if it were effectuated, result in any savings or greater efficiency but on the contrary would result in expense and inconvenience to all persons concerned. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of March , 1969. ) )1/1491T4 .
