HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2178 RESOLUTION NO. 2178 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF A STORM DRAIN EASEMENT WITHIN LOT 13 TRACT 13240 LYING NORTHERLY OF THE INTERSECTION OF ARNETT STREET AND MACGOVERN AVENUE WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Downey has received and read the Report from the Director of Public Works as to the condition of the storm drain easement proposed for vacation; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the portion of the ease® ment, as hereinafter described, has not been used for the purpose intended for a period in excess of five years and is unnecessary for future use. Therefore, conditions as set forth in Section 7401 of the Downey Municipal Code have been met. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Downey hereby orders the vacation of a portion of a storm drain easement within Lot 13 of Tract 13240 as shown on Map on file in the Office of the City Clerk to which reference is made for further particulars, the easement to be vacated being described as: The northeasterly 5 feet of Lot 13 in Tract 13240 in the City of Downey, County of Los Angeles, State of California per Map Recorded in Book 266, pages 23 and 24 of Maps in the Office of the County Recorder of said County. Except that portion lying easterly of a line parallel with and distant westerly 10 feet, measured at right angles, from the easterly line of said Lot 13. SECTION 2.
