A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A SEWER EASEMENT RUN-
NING NORTHERLY FROM IMPERIAL HIGHWAY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Downey hereby declares
its intent to vacate a sanitary sewer easement extending northerly from
Imperial Highway, as shown on map on file in the Office of the City Clerk, to
which reference is made for further particulars. Said easement to be vacated
is more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the land parallel with and 40 feet
southwesterly, measured along the southeasterly line of that certain
parcel of land originally described in Certificates 2AC 117855 on file
in the Office of the Registrar of Titles, County of Los Angeles, with
a line parallel with and 5 feet southeasterly measured at right angles,
from said southeasterly line; thence southwesterly in a direct line
to a point in a line parallel with and 10.30 feet northwesterly measured
at right angles from said southeasterly line said point being distant
northeasterly 17 feet measured at right angles from center line of
Imperial Highway, as said center line is shown on map of Tract 16193,
recorded in Book 382, Page 36 of Maps, the side lines of above described
6 foot strip of land shall be prolonged or shortened at the beginning
thereof, so as to terminate in first above mentioned parallel line.
SECTION 2. The hour of7:30 P.M. on the 9th day of December, 1968,
hereby is fixed as the time, and the Council Chambers in the City Hall at
8425 E. Second Street, Downey, California, hereby is fixed as the place for
hearing all persons interested in the proposed vacation of said easement.
SECTION 3. The City Council hereby declares that it elects to proceed with
said proposed vacation under and pursuant to the provisions of Article 5, Division
I, Title 5 of the Government Code of the State of California (Section 50430 et.
seq. of said Code.)
SECTION 4. The City Clerk hereby is directed to cause this resolution to
be published for at least two successive weeks prior to the date of the hearing
in the manner prescribed in Section 50440 of said Government Code and the Street
Superintendent shall cause a copy of this resolution to be posted conspicuously
along the line of the easement proposed to be vacated in the manner provided in
Section 50441 of said Code.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.

Council of the City of Downey at a regular meeting held thereof on the 26th day
