A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY
AWARDING CONTRACT TO IMPROVE PHLOX STREET IN THE CITY,
IN ACCORDANCE WITH RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 2097
(AD 105)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Downey, in open session
on October 7, 1968, publicly opened all sealed proposals or bids for
_ doing the work described in its Resolution of Intention No. 2097, de-
claring its intention to improve the streets named in said resolution,
all in accordance with said resolution, and reference hereby is made
to the Resolution of Intention for the description of the work and
assessment district and all further particulars;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby awards the contract to
the lowest responsible bidder,to wit:
Sully - Miller Contracting Company
pursuant to the bid submitted for doing the work described in said Reso-
lution of Intention, which bid is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
This award is made at the price named in the bid, and the City Council
hereby rejects all other proposals or bids for the doing of said work.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk hereby is directed to publish notice
of this award twice in Southeast News and Downey Champion, a newspaper
published and circulated in the City of Downey and the City Clerk shall
cause a copy of the Notice of Award to be recorded in the office of the
County Recorder.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full
force and effect.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted at a
regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Downey held on the
14th day of October , 1968, by the affirmative vote of at least
