A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE THAT PORTION OF TELEGRAPH ROAD, FORMERLY ANAHEIM TELEGRAPH ROAD. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Downey, upon recommendation of the Planning Commission, hereby declares its intention to vacate a portion of Telegraph Road, formerly Anaheim Telegraph Road, as shown on Map on file in the Office of the City Clerk, to which reference is made for further part- iculars. The area to be vacated being described as That portion of Telegraph Road, formerly Anaheim Telegraph Road, in the City of Downey, County of Los Angeles, State of California, dedicated for public use on Map of Tract No. 16946, recorded in Book 391, Pages 5 and 6 of Maps in the Office of the County Recorder of said County, described as follows: Beginning at the northerly corner of Lot 1 in said Tract No. 16946; thence along the northwesterly line of said Tract, North 22 East 43.98 feet to a line parallel with and distant southwesterly 50.00 feet, when measured at right angles, from the Centerline of Telegraph Road, as shown on said Map; thence South 49 ° 52'00" East thereon 362.60 feet to the southeasterly line of said Tract; thence South 22 ° 38'04" West thereon 44.04 feet to the easterly corner of said Lot; thence North 49 ° 52'00" West along the northeasterly line of said Lot, 362.77 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 2. The hour of 7:30 P.M. on the llth day of September,1967, is hereby fixed as the time, and the Council Chambers in the City Hall at 8425 Second Street, Downey, California, is hereby fixed as the place for hearing all persons interested in objecting to the proposed vacation of said street. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall cause this Resolution to be published in the manner required by Section 8322 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. SECTION 4. Notices of the Proposed Vacation shall be posed in the manner prescribed by said Section 8322. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
