A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY
FINDING THAT THE PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY
REQUIRE THE IMPROVEMENT OF IRWINGROVE DRIVE IN THE CITY
OF DOWNEY
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 1879 and the laws and constitution of
the State of California, a public hearing has been held, duly and regularly,
on the proposed improvement of Irwingrove Drive in the City of Downey; and
WHEREAS, said improvement has been considered fully;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Downey hereby finds and
determines that the public convenience and necessity require the improvement
of Irwingrove Drive by clearing, grading, preparation of subgrade, paing with
asphaltic concrete pavement, construction of curb and gutter, and appurtenant
work thereto; and that the nature, location, and extent of the proposed improve-
ment and the district to be assessed for the cost and expenses thereof are
shown, respectively, on the profile and improvement plan, No. 1 -18 -8; specification
entitled "AD No. 4 "; and assessment district map,No. 1- 18-8B.
SECTION 2. That the "Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and
Majority Protest Act of 1931" shall not apply to the making of said improvement.
SECTION 3. That this improvement shall be conducted under the Improvement Att
of 1911, which is Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution,
and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
