A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY
ORDERING WORK TO BE DONE ON WASHBURN ROAD IN ACCORDANCE
WITH RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1828 (AD #95 - WASHBURN
ROAD)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Downey, on the 22nd day of
November, 1966, adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 1828 to order the
work described therein to be done, and said Resolution of Intention having
been duly and legally published as required by law, and notice of improvement
having been given in the manner required by law, and no protest having been
filed by the owner of any property to be assessed for said improvement prior
to the time set in said Resolution of Intention for filing protests,
RESOLVE NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES SOL AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the public interest and convenience require, and the
City Council of the City of Downey hereby orders, the work described in said
Resolution of Intention No. 1828 to be done.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk hereby is directed to post, for five (5) days
on or near the door of the Council Chamber in the City Hall, a notice inviting
sealed proposals or bids for doing the work ordered and referring to the
specification on file, and to publish for two (2) days, a notice inviting
such proposals, in the SOUTHEAST NEWS AND DOWNEY CHAMPION, a newspaper published
and circulated in the City of Downey, the first of which publications shall be
not less than ten (10) days before the date the bids are to be opened.
SECTION 3. Reference hereby is made to the Resolution of Intention for a
description of the work, the assessment district, the bonds to be issued, and
for further particulars.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution,
and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of December, 1966.

meeting of the City Council of the City of Downey held on the 12th day of
