' . j A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY FINDING THAT THE PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE IMPROVEMENT OF WASHBURN ROAD IN THE CITY OF DOWNEY (AD #95) WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 1827 and the laws and constitution of the State of California, a public hearing has been held, duly and regularly, on the proposed improvement of Washburn. Road and other streets in the City of Downey; and WHEREAS, said improvement has been considered fully; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Downey hereby finds and determines that the public convenience and necessity require the improvement of Washburn Road and Regentview Avenue by the clearing, grading, construction of concrete curbs, gutters, driveway aprons, cross gutters, asphaltic concrete pavement, and appurtenant work thereto; and that the nature, location and extent of the proposed improvement and the district to be assessed for the cost and expenses thereof are shown, respectively, on the profile and improvement plan, No. 3- 22 -18; specification entitled AD 95; and assessment district map No. AD 95 B. SECTION 2. That the "Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931" shall notapply to the making of said improvement SECTION 3. That this improvement shall be conducted ;under the Improvement Act of 1911, which is Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolu- tion, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of December, 1966.
