A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY (DUNCE, OF las crriz OF DOWNEY,
CALIFORNIA, CALLING AND GIVING fA(ICE OF THE HOLDING OF

NOW THEREFORE, Ti E CXT' COUNCIL OF TUE CITY OF DOOUEY C&LIFOUNIA,
DOES HEREBY RESGLVE, DECLLRE„ MTEMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Taat purrAlant to the xequirments of tha Charter of the
City of Downey there shall. be, and there is hereby called and ordened,
held in the City of Downey, County of Los Angeles, State of Califon:tin, on
Tuesday, the 12th day of April, 1966, a regular general municipal election
of the qualified electors of said City fm the purpose of electing two (2)
members of the City Council of said City for the full term of four years;
said Councilmen being the Counci/man fro'l Districts to (2) and four (4),
respectfully.
SECTION 2. That the ballots to be used at said election shall be, both
as to form and matter contained therein, such as may be requited by law to
be used thereat.
SECTION 3. That the City. ClorE of said City is hereby authorieed,
instructed and directed to procure ang furnish nay and all official ballots,
-notices printed matter and all supplies, equipment and paraphernalia that
il may be necessary in order to properly anc. lawfully conduct said electLon.

SECTION 4. That for the purpose of holding said regular general municipal
election, the shall be and are hereby established ttnnty-nine (29) voting
precincts consisting of consolidations of the regular election precincts in the
City of Downey established for the holding of state and county elections, as
said regular election precincts exist on the date of adoption of this resolution.
That the polling places for the respective precincts shalt be in the places
hereinaften designaced; and that the porGons hereinafter named, being compete3,t
and qualified electors and residents of caid City and of their respective votaig
precincts, are Eeraby appointed officers of election for their respective voting
precincts and they shall hold eaid election and make return thereof in tho manner
