RESOLUTION NO. i 1Z ,
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY
APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY FLOOD
CONTROL DISTRICT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF 1964 BOND ISSUE
PROJECT NO. 3101 AND PROPOSED STREET BETTERMENTS THEREIN
WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Flood Control District is preparing
'••■ to advertise for bids for the storm drain project in the City of Downey
known as Los Angeles County Flood Control District 1964 Bond Issue Project
No. 3101; and
WHEREAS, the City of Downey feels it is desirable to construct this
storm drain to its entire length, if possible, and to construct strett
betterments on Western Avenue in conjunction with the aforesaid storm drain
construction;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Downey has read and approved
the agreement for the construction of the aforesaid drain and betterment, as
attached to this resolution.
SECTION 2. The Mayor of the City of Downey is hereby authorized to
execute said agreement.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoptioh of this resolu-
tion and transmit three certified copies to the Department of Public Works for
transmittal to the Flood Control District.
