HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 1542 2359 RESOLUTION NO. /5 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OR THE CITY OF DOWNEY ESTABLISHING THE TIMES OF PAYMENT OF COMPENSATION TO OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 93 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Commencing May 2, 1965, each pay period shall be for a period of two weeks, the first of which periods shall terminate at midnight, May 15, 1965, and thereafter each second Saturday at midnight. Payment for services rendered during the pay period terminating May 15, 1965, shall be made on Friday, May 21, 1965, and payment thereafter shall be made on each second Friday for the pay period ending on the preceding Saturday and the salaries or wages earned during such pay period shall 'be paid to the officer or employee in accordance with all applicable laws and rules. SECTION 2. Any adjustments in pay, pay periods made r-- necessary by reason of changing the pay period from the first through the fifteenth and the fifteenth through the last day of the month shall be made by the Director of Finance in such manner that each employee shall receive the amount of compensation to which he is lawfully entitled. SECTION 3. Resolution No. 93 hereby is rescinded. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. f ^• APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 1.. 2 day of J , 19 65 .
