HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 1471 2250 RESOLUTION NO. / A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY AUTHORIZING THE USE OF CERTAIN ACCESS RIGHTS DEDICATED TO THE CITY 10■4 WHEREAS, certain access rights along the northeasterly right of way line of Little Lake Road between Fairford Avenue and Studebaker Road was relinquished by the owners; and WHEREAS, the owners were previously granted a permit by the City of Downey to construct a single family residence and garage requiring access to and from Little Lake Road; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Downey did approve, at the regular meeting of September 2, 1964, the granting of access to this residential use from Little Lake Road; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds it is necessary for certain pedestrian and vehicular movement across such right of way line to be granted to utilize the existing single family residence and accessory garage. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the owner of property commonly known as 11135 Little Lake Road hereby be permitted and authorized to continue pedestrian and vehicular ingress and egress over the northeasterly line of Little Lake Road for a distance of 125 feet beginning 501.06 feet northwesterly of the northwesterly line of Fairford Avenue, to provide access to the following described real property, so long as said following described real property is used solely for single family residence purposes, and upon the cessation of the single family residence use of said following described real property the right of pedestrian and vehicular access and this permit shall terminate. That portion of the east half of the northwest quarter of the southwest quarter of Section 1, T.3S.,R.12W, in the Rancho Santa Gertrudes, City of Downey, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 1, Page 502 of Miscellaneous Records of said county, described as follows: Beginning at the southeast corner of said east half of the northwest quarter of the southwest quarter of said Section; thence along the easterly line of said east half, North 0 ° 18'43" West 25.00 feet to the point of intersection thereof with the northerly line of Little Lake Road 50.00 feet wide; thence along said northerly line, South 89 ° 30'31" West 501.06 feet to a point therein that is North 89 ° 30 ° 31" East, 160.00 feet from the westerly line of said east half; said point being the true point of beginning of this description; thence parallel with the westerly line of said east half, North 0 ° 13'30" West, 130.00 feet; thence parallel with said northerly line of Little Lake Road, North 89 ° 30'31" East 125.00 feet; thence parallel with said westerly line, South 0 ° 13'30" East 130.00 feet to a point in said northerly line of Little Lake Road; thence thereon South 89 ° 30'31" West 125.00 feet to the true point of beginning. SECTION 2. That the permission of such access rights may be revoked by the City Council at any time upon resolution duly adopted when in the opinion of the City Council these access rights are not being used for the purpose authorized, or that such revocation is necessary for the benefit or pro- tection of the public health, safety and welfare. 2251 SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this " -/ day of 1964.
