A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DOWNEY DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A SEWER
EASEMENT EXTENDING EASTERLY FROM TWEEDY LANE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Downey hereby declares
its intention to vacate a sanitary sewer easement extending easterly
from Tweedy Lane and southerly of Telegraph Road, as shown on map on
file in the office of the City Clerk, to which referalce is made for
further particulars. Said easement to be vacated is more particularly
described as follows:
An easement for and the right to construct, maintain, operate
and use sanitary sewers and appurtenances in and across that
portion of said land, within a strip of land 10.00 feet wide lying
5.00 feet on each side of the following described center line:
Lane,
at a point in the southeasterly line of Tweedy ,
50.00 feet wide, as shown on map of Tract No. 16032, Los Angeles
County, recorded in Book 354 Page 19 of Maps, that is South
62 ° 15'00" West thereon 193.04 feet from the most westerly corner
of that certain parcel of land described in deed recorded in Book
6902 Page 275, Official Records; thence South 26 °39'32" East
234.72 feet; thence nce North 62 ° 15'00" East 163.63 feet to a point
hereby designated as point A; the side line of above described
10.00 foot strip of land shall be prolonged or shottened at the
angle points therein so as to terminate in their point of inter-
section and at the beginning thereof so as to terminate in said
southeasterly line.
Also within a strip of land 6.00 feet wide lying 3.00 feet on
each side of the following described center line: Commencing at
the above designated point A; thence North 27 ° 45'00" West 5.00
feet to a point in the northwesterly line of above described
10.00 foot strip of land, said last mentioned point being the
true point of beginning; thence North 62 ° 15'00" East 10.00 feet,

as granted to County of Los Angeles by deed recorded October 20,
1954, in Book 45888, Page 146, Official Records.
SECTION 2. The hour of 7:30 P.M. on the 13th day of July, 1964,
hereby is fixed as the time, and the Council Chambers in the City Hall
at 8425 Second Street, Downey, California, hereby is fixed as the place
for hearing all persons interested in the proposed vacation of said ease-
ment.
SECTION 3. The City Council hereby declares that it elects to pro-
ceed with said proposed vacation under and pursuant to the provisions of
of Article 5, Division 1, Title 5 of the Government Code of the State of
California (Sections 50430 et seq. of said code.)
SECTION 4. The City Clerk hereby is directed to cause this resolu-
tion to be published for at least two successive weeks prior to the date
of the hearing in the manner prescribed in Section 50440 of said Govern-
ment Code and the Street Superintendent shall cause a copy of this
resolution to be posted conspicuously along the line of the easement
proposed to be vacated in the manner provided in Section 50441 of said
code.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution.
