RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DOWNEY SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING ON
THE ACQUISITION OF NECESSARY RIGHTS OF WAY, CON-
STRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENTS IN ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
NO. 69 (BROOKSHIRE AVENUE AND OTHER STREETS)
WHEREAS, proceedings have been instituted for this improvement
under the provisions of Division 12, Streets and Highways Code of
the State of California, said division being the Municipal Improve-
ment Act of 1913; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. being the Resolution of
Intention for this improvement, duly was adopted by the City Council
of the City of Downey on November 5, 1963; and
WHEREAS, the report called for in said Resolution of Intention
has been duly prepared and filed with the City Clerk of the City of
Downey; and
WHEREAS, said report duly has been presented to and duly consid-
ered by this City Council on November 5, 1963;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The 9th day of December, 1963, at the hour of 7:30
o'clock P.M. of said day, in the Council Chamber in the City Hall of
said city located at 8425 Second Street, in said city, is the date,
time, and place fixed by this City Council for hearing protests in
relation to the proposed improvement.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk, being the clerk of the legislative
body, hereby is directed to gibe notice of said hearing to be posted
conspicuously on all open streets within the district at not more than
300 feet apart on each street so posted, but not less than three in
all, notices of the passage of the Resolution of Intention and of this
resolution, all in accordance with the provisions of said Division 12.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk hereby is directed to give notice of
said hearing and of the passage of the Resolution of Intention and
of this resolution by causing such notice to be published once a week
for two successive weeks in "Downey Live Wire ", a newspaper published
and circulated in the City of Downey, which newspaper hereby is desig-
nated by said Council for that purpose, all in accordance with the
provisions of said Division 12.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk herbby is directed to mail notices of
said hearing, the adoption of the Resolution of Intention, and the
adoption of this resolution, and of the filing of the report, to all
persons owning real property proposed to be assessed whose names and
addresses appear on the last equalized assessment roll for city taxes,
said roll being the same as the last equalized assessment roll of the
County of Los Angeles or as known to the City Clerk, all in accordance
with the provisions of said Division 12.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full
force and effect.
