RESOLUTION NO. .
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF DOWNEY DETERMINING AND DECLARING
THAT CERTAIN PUBLIC PROPERTY IS NOT NEEDED
FOR ANY PUBLIC PURPOSE

WHEREAS, the City purchased certain real property in
the City of Downey hereinafter described for the purpose of
a superior court site in
t the event such courts were located with -
in the City; and
WHEREAS, the courts were not so located; and
WHEREAS, the property is not within a general master
s
plan for civic development for other reasons;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That that certain real property owned by the
City of Downey more particularly described on Exhibit A attached
hereto and by this reference made a part hereof is not now needed
for the purpose for which purchased nor is it needed for any
other public purpose and, therefore, the same should be sold.
SECTION 2. The Mayor hereby is authorized and directed to
execute any and all agreements necessary to consummate the sale
of said property to Downey Towers in accordance with the agree-
ments copies of which are attached hereto marked Exhibits "B " and
"C " respectively.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.

EXHIBIT A
PARCEL 1: That portion of Block 13 of the Tract of the Downey Land
Association, as per map recorded in Book 2 Page 434 of Miscellaneous
Records, in the office of the County Recorder of said County, described
as follows: Beginning at the most Southerly corner of said Block;
thence North along the East line of said Block, 150 feet; thence West
parallel with the North line of said Block 97.5 feet; thence South
parallel with the East line of said Block, 150 feet to the South line of
said Block, thence East along the South Line of said Block 97.5 feet to
the point of beginning.
PARCEL 2: That part of Block 13 of the Tract of the Downey Land
Association, as per map recorded in Book 2 Page 434 of Miscellaneous
Records, in the office of the County Recorder of said County, described as
follows: Beginning at the most southerly corner of said Block; thence
northwesterly along the south line of said Block, 972 feet to the true
point of beginning; thence northeasterly parallel with the east line of
said Block, 150 feet; thence northwesterly parallel with the south line of
said Block, 472 feet; thence southwesterly parallel with the east line of
said Block; 150 feet to a point in the south line thereof; thence south-
easterly along said south line, 472 feet to the true point of beginning.
