A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF I)OWNEY ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF FIRESTONE BOULEVARD AND PANGBORN AVENUE WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 1233 of the City Council of the City of Downey, adopted the 27th day of August, 1963, the City Council declared its intention to vacate a portion of Firestone Boulevard and Pangborn Avenue, setting a hearing thereon for the hour of 7:30 P.M., the 14th day of October, 1963; and WHEREAS, the public hearing on said intended vacation duly was held and a full and fair hearing was had thereon. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council finds from all the evidence submitted at said hearing that the portion of Firestone Boulevard hereinafter described is unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes, and it hereby is ordered vacated. Said area so vacated is described as follows: That portion of Lot 8 of Tract No. 9776 as per map recorded in Book 138, Pages 43 and 44 of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder, County of Los Angeles, State of California, described as follows: Beginning at the northerly terminus of that certain easterly line in Lot 8 having a bearing of South 28 ° 15'10" West, and a length of 185.64 feet; thence southwesterly along said lot line, 16.02 feet to the true point of beginning; thence continuing South 28 ° 15'10" West along said lot line 45.94 feet to a point of cusp with a tangent curve concave westerly, having a radius of 63.00 feet; thence northerly along said curve through a central angle of 87 ° 29'30" an arc distance of 96.20 feet to a point of cusp with a line that is parallel with and distant 16.00 feet southwesterly, measured at right angles, from the northerly line of said lot; thence along said parallel line South 59 ° 14'20" East 45.94 feet; thence southerly along a tangent curve concave westerly, having a radius of 15.00 feet, an arc distance of 22.90 feet to the true point of beginning. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and cause a certified copy thereof, attested by the City Clerk under the Seal of the City of Downey, to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Los Angeles. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of October, 1963.
