HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 1094 1695 RESOLUTION NO. 1094 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY ORDERING WORK TO BE DONE ON IZETTA AVENUE AND OTHER STREETS IN ACCORDANCE WITH RESOLUTION OF IN- TENTION NO. 1077 (A D. #81) WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Downey, on the 14th day of January, 1963, adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 1077 to order work described therein to be done, and said Resolution of Intention having been duly and legally published as required by law, and notice of the improvement having been given in the manner required by law, and protests having been filed by the owners of the property to be assessed for said improvement, prior to the time set in the Resolu- tion of Intention for filing protests, and having been heard and over- ruled by the City Council, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the public interest and convenience require, and the City Council of the City of Downey hereby orders, the work described in said Resolution of Intention No. 1077 to be done. SECTION 2. The City Clerk hereby is directed to post, for five (5) days on or near the door of the Council Chamber in the City Hall, a notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the work ordered and referring to the specification on file, and to publish, for two (2) days, a notice inviting such proposals, in the "Downey Live Wire ", a newspaper published and circulated in the City of Downey, the first of which publications shall be not less than ten (10) days before the date the bids are to be opened. SECTION 3. Reference hereby is made to the Resolution of Intention for a description of the work, the assessment district, the bonds to be issued, and for further particulars. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this llth day of February, 1963.
