A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF DOWNEY FINDING CERTAIN CHANGES IN THE
ACQUISITION AND IMPROVEMENT OF VEHICLE PARK-
ING DISTRICT NO. 1 OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY
SHOULD BE MADE (AD 66)
WHEREAS, the City Council on March 27, 1962, adopted
Ordinance No. 198 of said City, which said ordinance formed the
Vehicle Parking District No. 1 of the City of Downey and ordered
the acquisition and improvement, all as set forth in said
ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the assessment for said District has not been con-
firmed; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 1051 of the City Council of the
City of Downey, adopted on October 23, 1962, the City Council
declared its intention to make certain changes in the acquisition
and improvement of said Vehicle Parking District No. 1, all as
set forth in said resolution; and
WHEREAS, on November 27, 1962, the City Council of said
City, pursuant to said Resolution No. 1051 and Notice of Hearing
published pursuant thereto, held a hearing on said proposed
changes as described in said Resolution No. 1051 and said hearing
was continued to December 26, 1962, and held on said date; and
WHEREAS, at said hearing said City Council made the
preliminary finding that there had not been a majority protest as
to the proposed changes; and
WHEREAS, there was no majority protest as to such changes;
and
WHEREAS, by reason of said hearing, the City Council was
desirous of proposing certain changes in the improvement and
acquisition for said District as ordered in said Ordinance No.
198 and as proposed to be changed by said Resolution No. 1051;
and

WHEREAS, by Resolution No, 1057 of the City Council of the
City of Downey adopted on November 27, 1962, the City Council
declared its intention to make certain changes in the acquisition
and improvement of said Vehicle Parking District No. 1, all as
set forth in said resolution; and
WHEREAS, on December 26, 1962, the City Council of said
City, pursuant to said Resolution No. 1057 and Notice of Hearing
published pursuant thereto, held a hearing on said proposed
changes as described in said Resolution No. 1057; and
WHEREAS, at said hearing said City Council made the preliminary
finding that there had not been a majority protest as to the
proposed changes; and
WHEREAS, there was no majority protest as to such changes;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That said City Council finds:
That the changes in the improvement and acquisition for Vehicle
Parking District No. 1 of the City of Downey as proposed by Resolution
No. 1051 of said City Council are not desirable and should not be
made,
That the changes in acquisition and improvement in Vehicle
Parking District No. 1 of Downey as such District was ordered and
formed by said Ordinance No, 198, as such changes in acquisition
and improvement were proposed by said Resolution No, 1057, should
be made and all of the lands in the District as originally formed
will be benefited by the changes in acquisition and improvement
as proposed by said Resolution No, 1057 and as such acquisition
and improvement will exist in said District after said changes.
That Notice of Hearing on the changes proposed by said
Resolution No, 1057 duly was given in accordance with law and no
majority protest in writing was made as to the changes proposed
by said Resolution No. 1057,

SECTION 2. All protests to the changes proposed by said
Resolution No. 1057 hereby are denied.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
