RESOLUTION NO. /e' 47
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY
ORDERING WORK TO BE DONE ON DUESLER LANE, A PRIVATE STREET.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Downey, on the 11th day of
September,1962, adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 1036 to order the
work described therein to be done, and said Resolution of Intention having
been duly and legally published as required by law, and notice of improve -
ment having been given in the manner required by law, and no protest having
been filed by the owner of any property to be assessed for said improvement
prior to the time set in said Resolution of Intention for filing protests,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the public interest and convenience require, and the
City Council of the City of Downey hereby orders, the work described in said
Resolution of Intention No. 1036 to be done.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk hereby is directed to post, for five (5) days
on or near the door of the Council chamber in the City Hall, a notice inviting
sealed proposals or bids for doing the work ordered and referring to the spec-
ification on file, and to publish, for two :(2) days, a notice inviting such
proposal, in the "Downey Livewire' a newspaper published and circulated in
the City of Downey, the first of which publication shall be not less than ten
(10) days before the date the bids are to be opened.
SECTION 3. Reference hereby is made to the Resolution of Intention for
a description of the work, the assessment district, the bonds to be issued,
and for further particulars.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution,
and thence forth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
