HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 1025 1588 RESOLUTION NO .i 5- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A CERTAIN EASEMENT FOR SANITARY SEWER PURPOSES (SOUTH OF IMPERIAL HIGHWAY, EASTERLY OF BELLFLOWER BOULEVARD) THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City,Council of the City of Downey hereby does declare its intention to vacate that certain easement extending southerly from Imperial Highway and approximately 350 feet easterly of Bellflower Boulevard, for sanitary sewer purposes, described as follows: That portion of the City of Downey conveyed to the County of Los Angeles by deed recorded October 17, 1950, in Book No. 34574, Page 405, Official Records of the County of Los Angeles, State of California, and more particularly described as follows: The easterly 10 feet of the westerly 350 feet of the south- erly 700 feet of the northerly 730 feet of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of fractional Section 15, Township 3 South, Range 12 West, in the Rancho Santa Gertrudes, subdivided for the Santa Gertrudes Land Association, as shown on map recorded in Book 1, Page 502 of Miscellaneous Records, in the office of the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles. SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Downey hereby does elect to proceed to vacate the said easement and abandon the improvements therein, under the provisions of Part 3, Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. SECTION 3. The hour of 3 m. on the day ofr - 1962, hereby is fixed as ,he time, and the Council Climbers of the City Hall at 8425 Second Street, Downey, California, hereby are fixed as the place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of said portion of said easement. SECTION 4. Notices shall be posted by the Street Superintendent in the manner prescribed by Section 8322 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this reso- lution and shall cause the same to be published in the manner prescribed by law, in one regular issue of the "Downey Livewire ", a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Downey. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of August, 1962.
