RESOLUTION NO./
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A CERTAIN STREET FOR
PUBLIC ROAD PURPOSES (FLORENCE AVENUE SERVICE ROAD)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Downey with the approval of
the Planning Commission, hereby does declare its intention to vacate a por-
tion of that certain street known as Florence Avenue Service Road for public
road purposes, described as follows:
That portion of the city of Downey as shown on map of Tract No.
14406, recorded in Map Book No. 380, Pages 5 and 6 of Maps of record
in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at the most southerly corner of Lot 28 of said tract;
thence along the easterly boundary of said tract South 31 ° 21'20" West
42 feet to a line parallel with and distant Northeasterly 50 feet from
the centerline of Florence Avenue; thence along said parallel line
North 58 ° 39'55" West 36.95 feet; thence North 31 ° 20'05" East 67.00 feet
to the beginning of a curve concave Northeasterly and having a radius
of 25 feet, being the Southwesterly boundary of said Lot 28; thence
Southeasterly along the arc of said curve, a distance of 39.27 feet;
thence tangent South 58 ° 39'55" East 11.97 feet to the print of beginning.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Downey hereby does elect to
proceed to vacate the said portion of said street under the provisions of
Part 3, Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.

hereby are fixed' the place for hearing all persons interested in or object-
ing to the proposed vacation of said portion of said street.
SECTION 4. Notices shall be posted by the Street Superintendent in the
manner prescribed by Section 8322 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State
of California.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolu-
tion and shall cause the same to be published in the manner prescribed by law
in one regular issue of the "Downey Livewire ", a newspaper of general circula-
tion, printed, published and circulated in the City of Downey.
