HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 0977 15211 RESOLUTION NO. 7 7 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY PROPOSING TO CHANGE THE WORK IN ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 57 (HALL ROAD AND OTHER STREETS) WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 873 of the City Council of the City of Downey adopted on the 26th day of September, 1961, a certain plan and a certain specification were approved and adopted, being identified respectively as follows: Plan No. 1 -12 -25 and Assessment District No. 57 Specifications - Hall Road; and WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 877 adopted September 26, 1961, the City Council declared its intention to cause certain improvements to be made in accordance with said plans and specifications; and WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 894 adopted November 13, 1961, said City Council ordered the work as described in said plans and specifications and said Resolution of Intention; and WHEREAS, said City Council has been advised by the City Engineer that certain changes in said plans should be made; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby proposes to change the work described in said plans and said Resolution of Intention No. 877 by reconstructing a portion of the cross - gutter on the south side of Hall Road at the intersection of Hall Road at Lakewood Boulevard, deleting a commercial driveway on the south side of Hall Road between Lakewood Boulevard and Bellflower Boulevard, by adding 1.5 feet of curb and gutter on the east side of Coldbrook Avenue at the south end of the curb return thereof, by changing the grade on the south side of Hall Road between the end of the curb return on the east side of Coldbrook Avenue and Station 13 25, and by deleting 47.2 feet of curb and gutter and pavement on the south side of Hall Road between Station 14 t 30.9 and 14 t 78.1, and place asphalt variable cap between Station 13 1. 25.1 and Station 13 # 39.8 on Plans No. 1 -12 -25 as revised to May 10, 1962, copies of which plans are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Downey and the City Engineer of said City and are available for public inspection. It is estimated that the proposed change will increase the cost of the work ONE HUNDRED FORTY -THREE DOLLARS AND FORTY -FOUR CENTS ($143.44). SECTION 2. Notice hereby is given that on the llth day of June, 1962, at 7:30 p.m. any person interested in the proceedings referred to in this resolution and having any objections to the changes proposed herein may appear before said City Council in the Council Chambers located at 8425 Second Street, Downey, California and show cause why said changes should not be ordered; and any person interested may file written objections to the proposed changes with the City Clerk of the City of Downey at any time not later than the date of the hearing. SECTION 3. The City Clerk is directed to publish this resolution in the "Downey Livewire ", a newspaper published and circulated in the City of Downey, at least once, the first publication to be at least ten (10) days prior to the date of the above hearing. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this reso- lution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of May, 1962.
