A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY
CHANGING THE NAME OF MORTON STREET TO CENTURY BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, the City Council has been requested by the Planning
Commission to change the name of Morton Street between Barlin and 95'
west of Klondyke Avenue to Century Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the name of said street
should be changed for purposes of convenience and continuity of street
names within the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the authority granted by Section 34091.1
of the Government Code of the State of California, the City Council of the
City of Downey hereby changes the name of Morton Street between Barlin and
95' west of Klondyke Avenue to Century Boulevard.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall cause a copy of this resolution
to be forwarded to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force
and effect.

City Council of the City of Downey at a regular meeting thereof held on the
