A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY
DECLAIRING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF QUIOT
STREET WITHIN TRACT NO. 12760
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Downey, upon recommendation
of the Planning Commission, hereby declares its intention to vacate that portion
of Quiot Street at its intersection with Paramount Boulevard as shown on a map
on file in the office of the City Cler.,to which reference is made for further
particulars; said area to be vacated being described as follows:
That portion of Quiot Street adjoining Lots 54 and 92 of
Tract No. 12760 in the City of Downey, County of Los Angeles,
State of California, as per map recorded in Book 244, Pages 30
and 31 of Maps, records of said county, described as follows:
Beginning at the most northerly corner of Lot 92 of said
Tract No. 12760, being a point in a curve concave south-
easterly and having a radious of 71.38 feet as shown on
said map (a radial line bears South 48 ° 11'53" East); thence
northwesterly along this aforementioned radial line a distance
of 1.02 feet, being a point in the northeasterly prolongation
of the northwesterly line of said Lot 92; thence along said
northeasterly prolongation of the northwesterly line of said
Lot 92 North 32 12' East 28.47 feet to the beginning of a tangent
curve concave southeasterly and having a radius of 30 feet, said
curve being also tangent to aline that is parallel with and 30
feet southwesterly, measured at right angles, from the north-
easterly line of said tract; thence easterly along said curve
46.54 feet through a central angle of 88 52'48" to a point of
tangency with said parallel line; thence thereon South 58 55'12"
East 40.58 feet to the easterly terminus of the curve in the north-

westerly line of said Lot 54 shown on the map of said Tract No.
12760 as having a radius of 71.38 feet; thence westerly along
said last mentioned curve 98.77 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. The hour of 7:30 P.M on the 10th day of April, 1961, is
hereby fixed as the time; and the Council Chamber in the City Hall, at
8425 East 2nd Street, is hereby fixed as the place for hearing all persons in-
terested in objecting to the puposed vacation of said street.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall cause this resolution to be published
in the manner required by Section 8322 of the Streets and Highways Code, State
of California,
SECTION 4. Notices of the proposed vacation shall be posted in the manner
prescribed by Section 8322.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
