A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE THE ALLEY LYING SOUTH-
ERLY OF PHLOX STREET AND EASTERLY AND PARALLEL WITH PARA-
MOUNT BOULEVARD WITHIN TRACT NO. 12085.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Downey, upon recommendation of
the Planning Commission, hereby declares its intention to vacate the Alley lying
southerly from Phlox Street and easterly of and parallel with Paramount Boule-
vard within Tract No. 12085, as recorded in Book 226 Pages 22 and 23 of Official
Records of the County Recorder in the County of Los Angeles, State of California;
said area to be vacated is described as follows:
Beginning at the most southerly corner of Lot 28 of said Tract No. 12085;
thence northeasterly along the southeasterly line of said Lot, 65 feet to
the most easterly corner thereof; thence South 58 East 20 feet to
the most northerly corner of Lot 27 of said Tract No. 12085; thence south-
westerly along the northwesterly line of said Lot 27 a distance of 65 feet
to the most westerly corner thereof; thence North 58 West 20 feet
to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. The hour of 8:00 A.M. on the 26th day of July, 1960 is hereby
fixed as the time and the Council Chamber in the City Hall at 8425 East Second
Street, Downey, California, is hereby fixed as the place for hearing all persons
interested in objecting to the proposed vacation of said Alley.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall cause this resolution to be published in
0-4 the manner required by Section 8322 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State
of California.
SECTION L.. Notices of the proposed vacation shall be posted in the manner
prescribed by said Section 8322.
SECTION 5. These proceedings shall be taken under and pursuant to the pro-
visions of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
