A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY
REQUESTING AN ALLOCATION FROM THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COM-
MISSION CROSSING PROTECTION FUND
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Downey does resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City of Downey has authorized the expenditure of
$5,000.00 from County Aid to Cities Funds (3/160 for the installation
of Standard No. 8 flashing light signals at the Southern Pacific Cross.
ing No. BK 494.5 on Rives Avenue.
SECTION 2. The Mayor of the City of Downey is hereby authorized to
sign and verify a request for an allocation from the Public Utilities
Commission Crossing Protection Fund, said allocation being 50 (fifty)
percent of the City of Downey's share of the cost of installing Standard
No. 8 flashing light signals at the above described grade crossing.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution and attach a certified copy of same to the request for alloca-
tion of funds from the Public Utilities Commis 'on Crossing Protection
Fund.
