RESOLUTION NO. 44 2i
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY
ADOPTING BUDGET AND APPROVING MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT
FOR EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS ALLOCATED UNDER SECTION 2107.5
OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE
WHEREAS, a memorandum of agreement has been presented to be
entered into with the State of California in accordance with a project
statement submitted by the City of Downey for expenditure of the engi•
neering allocittion to cities for the fiscal year 195960, and
WHEREAS the City Council has heard said agreement in full and is
familiar with the contents thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY HEREBY DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That said project statement be and it is hereby adopted
as the budget of proposed expenditures of the engineering allocation to
cities, and said agreement be and the same is hereby approved and the
Mayor and the City Clerk are directed to sign the same on behalf of
said city, said agreement to be binding upon the city upon its execution
by the authorized officials of the State.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution and shall cause a certified copy of this resolution, together
with the agreements, to be sent to the State Division of Highways.
